Can anyone refer me to a good/ reputable vet in the PA, MD line area? I am willing to drive for a good one.

Depends on the chinchilla. Some colors and lines can grow as long as 18 months like Becky said.

I would mark on the calander 111 days after you sepporated them. That way you have a last possible due date for both of them. I offer my chins alfalfa hay and timothy, they love both. But as long as they are on a good quality pellet, the type of hay shouldnt matter much. Good luck with your girls!

I sing to, so dont feel bad. They are the only ones who dont complain about me. Its nice to have an appreciative audiance. lol. I sing way off key. My chins aren't fortunate enough to have a tv, but they do have a radio. They have very good taste.

I don't know if thats true or not, but white hair is more easily seen. So it may just look like they shed more hair than other colors. I have two chins that seem to prime more often than my other chins, you may just have a chin like that.
