i heard that there is a parasite in tap water called guardia that can be very harmful for chinchillas and was just wondering if bottled water was safe and how often i should change it ?

I made it out of staples and scotch tape and some duct tape, i covered up the stapled parts with tape so she wouldn't get hurt, but I'm still having second thoughts about whether its safe or not. Any second opinions?

I understand that by buying a really young chin makes it easier to adapt to human interaction i have nothing against the older one but id much rather have one as a baby and watch it grow.
