Ryerson's took grand show, but that's all I know for results!

Bob Myers (in order I think) were:

1st- Poetrue (congrats deary, you earned it)
2nd- Silkrhein (some very nice violets as usual)
3rd- Pony Trail Chins
4th- Lyn's Chins (wish I'd met ya)
5th- Tiffany Yarboro I think

Congrats to all who went, all who showed, and all who made this show possible (Mish) and most of all to the great years of service from our wonderful judge Dave Woods!

Wish I had a more comprehensive list...I know Shoots took some top awards as usual as did the Baars...Silkrhein and Poetrue took a good many as well.

It's been to long since I seen everyone and I was glad to recomment (and finally meet) so many of you. I had a wonderful time and think this has been my favorite ACS yet. I've not shown in two years so was a bit out of practice but out of 5 chinnies shown I didn't do too shabby. SO glad to finally meet Saphire Chins ;) and have one of my babies go to Canada...also brought home an "extra" that I wasn't counting on FROM Canada. All in all a wonderful show.

I love this pic, this is my ebony white male that took Res. Sec. Champ...had decided shortly before the show he'd be stayin here...he's such a love bug. Cuddly squishy ;)

Followed by a pic of Mish, Dave and Cheryl.

Thank YOU to everyone for coming, and to everyone who donated to the raffles, and to everyone who helped set up and clean up and work the show. I was amazed at how well everything went - the awards table and awards official, the registration table, lunch, the banquet, the classification and animal handling, the baby derby, the raffles - absolutely everyone did a fantastic job helping out. Thanks also to our vendors for coming!

It was nice seeing everyone again and meeting new people (Brandy, Amy, Rhonda, Manny and family!).

And I can't not mention the AMAZING dessert spread we had for lunch. =D

I fell asleep with a smile on my face last night.

Ange got the Bob Myers award winners right. I'll get the rest of the show results sent to me soon, all I can remember is Ryersons took Grand Show, Britt's Chins took reserve, and Silkrhein had reserve champion female with a monster violet.

As for the raffles, Ange got that garden basket from Crissy with the incredibly cute squirrel that I wanted. =p Christiane won Juanita's blanket. Monika won the cage from Martin's. I got the wine glasses from Tiffany, and quite a few other things. =D

Also looking forward to seeing more photos, I didn't get a chance to take very many. All I got were a few of the raffles and desserts. =) I'll get those up soon.

Its really a shame that woods is retireing. I was talking to him for quite a while at the show and most of his decission to top judging is based on how far he is asked to travel. Wouldn't it be possible to relocate the show for easier commute t keep a good judge?

Dave's not retiring completely, he's just retiring from our chapter because he's moving to Florida. He'll be judging the Southeastern Coastal Chapter's show down there, I'm sure, but it would be too expensive for our chapter to bring him up here, no matter where in our region we hold our show.

It was a great show! Thank you mish for finding such a great place for the show!!! Everyone did a great job.

Sorry if anyone thought I was grumpy! It was my first time working the awards table and I was good and stressed, especially at the end when I got flustered!

I only showed two this year. I am hoping to hold quite a bit back for next year as long as my guys getting breeding after the move! There were a few chins I ha my eye on, but I only brought a 4 hole carrier and filled it before I left Jim and bills sat morning!

Besides that fact, no it would not be worthwhile to move any show closer to any judge. There's more than one good judge out there, you have a show where the most people will show up when possible. The point of the show isn't the judge, it's about the people who enter. I love Dave as a judge, but there are other good judges...and up and coming new judges as well ;)

Okay, so my cam is just a point and shoot...but here goes:

GROOMING!

Pic 1- Ralf Shoots
Pic 2- Tiffany Yarboro
Pic 3- EVERYONE j/k, Jan Ryerson, Bill Amrhein, in the back Megan's husband (I think) and in the far far back on the right a member here I think...she's from Florida...but didn't remember who she is!
Pic 4- the Baars

The MASSIVE raffle tables...I did win the totally aswesome gardening basket as well as Ryerson supplement and an octillo (sp?) hanging toy...but pretty sure Mish won everything else LOL! Monika won my quilt (and seemed pretty happy about it) and I picked the winning ticket for the crocheted blanket that Sapphire won ;) Good times!
