    Quarantine problem:/

First off, I'm sorry you sprained your ankle! Secondly, as long as your boys and the rescues are in separate rooms and have no access to each other and there is washing hands (possibly changing clothes) between handling the new ones and your boys (I'd handle your boys first) and it should not be...

    New chinnies are home!

Then she will be fine in that cage if she has babies. The kits can't escape, there are no ledges and it's not very high for them to climb and fall!!

    New chinnies are home!

I would keep her in the smaller cage if there is a possibility of her being pregnant. Are the spacings of the smaller cage more then 1/2inch? if they are babies can still escape....hope that baby safe one gets to you quickly! Don't put her in the dog crate the spacings would be even bigger!

    Lixit water bottle owners

I havn't used that exact model, but I bought this model at tractor supply. The valve is the same and it hasn't leaked yet for me. I just switched all 10 of my cages over to this and it didn't take long for my chins to figure out the new valve compared to the ball which I found no matter what...

Scared the heck out of me!!!!

Then I poked her and she jumped right up and was like "why are you poking me mom" .......geez! I know a few of you have had similar scares and I've never had this happen before! She's only been here about 2 wees and is already so comfy here that she has been sleeping like this for about a week...

Scared the heck out of me!!!!

My new girlie, TOV Tan white (Brennan), was running all around her cage during cleaning time. I turned around to get something and when I looked back I dropped what was in my hand and ran over to the cage, she was just laying there....I thought she had a heart attack or something...I was afraid...

    TOV and ebony questions

Can the TOV gene be carried? Could a non-TOV kit who has a parent that is black velvet carry TOV and possibly have a kit that is TOV? I am also wondering if ebony can can be a carrier? I know standards born to an ebony/ebony pair can be carriers but can other mutations be carriers of ebony...

    Crazy New Girl

We've made some progress..... I can now sit in front of her cage with my hand in there without getting sprayed. She started with spraying me and when I didn't go away decided to investigate. If I moved my hand she would spray me again and run the other opposite side kacking and chattering her...

    New owner Information

Thanks for that site...It was excatly what I was looking for! I would still like peoples opinions on fleece liners verse shavings in the cages, how hard is either to maintain (which is easier in the long run).

    M.C.B.A. Michigan Show 2012, Albion, MI, Jan 28, 2012

What time should people arrive if they are showing chins but have never shown before and need help getting them ready? I have two that I would love to get in the show but I've never groomed before! When do we fill out the paperwork and pay for them to be in the show?

    New owner Information

Thanks, I have all of that information already. I was looking more for peoples suggestions to compare to the already "right" information from the FAQ on this site. The nutrition guide has several brands of food listed including some that I know are not recommended as healthy for chins. So I...

    New owner Information

Not sure if this would be the right place for this,if not I'm sorry I wasn't quite sure where else it should go..... For anyone who adopts a rescue or a baby from me I wanted to give them a generalized information packet. I've picked up a few bits and pieces from another rescue in my area's...

    Crazy New Girl

I just took in a new pair. Male/female I was told the female is too old to get pregnant...yeah ok. But no one could tell me the ages on the either one. One or both are fur chewers. The male is missing the most amount of fur, all the way up to the top of his head. Now that they are separated we...
