    Polyp in mouth

One of my Arlington TX chins has a polyp on the roof of his mouth. Have had him to two different exotic vets and they have no idea what/why he has it. Last visit he said at some point it would grow to large and he would not survive. Has anyone else ever seen this? Tonight he is making noise when...

I just had a 2 year old female hedgie surrendered to my rescue. I have had her about 3-4 weeks. She is on a ggod brand of 2 different kinds of ferret food. I know it is very similar to cat food and she is doing fine...or so it seems. I haven't seen anywhere anyone else feeding ferret food. Is it...

    Hedgehog in Jacksonville Fl

Hello all, I know this may not be the right place for this but I wasn't real sure where to put it. I have a hedgehog that is going to be surrendered to me shortly. I have no idea what to do with it. Having a house full of chins I think it may be to cold for them. I also have no idea what to feed...

    Arlington TX 2 year update

I still have my 4 boys. Dakota, Dash, Thumper & Cody. They are 2 pairs of bonded boys. They are on the small side they didn't get real big but it's not real surprising considering the start they had. I tried to attach pics but couldn't. I'll work on it.

    Best Vacuum Cleaner

I bought the 14 gallon quiet technology Ridgid shop vac from Home Depot for about $100 and it has worked wonders. I clean 6 cages with it and it doesn't really bother the critters. I can clean the cages with them in it. I also have a Oreck for the regular carpet. The shop vac is for critters. It...

    Martin's Cages -- No Connectors?

I have a cage that I used the zip ties to hold it together and not one of my furballs has chewed them. You have to make sure they are tight and cut off the excess as close as possible. I made sure the connection part is on the outside to make sure they didn't get he urge to chew.

    Dehumidifiers

They sell Damp Rid at Wal Mart too I believe in the ironing board & irons section. I have a gauge hanging on the side of my chin cage to tell me temp and humidity. I got it at Wal Mart for something like $7.00. I don't have a humidifier in the room now but it is a smaller room so I will look...

    The Ferret Nation Club

I'm a member also...Thanks to Crysta I just added the 4th one to my collection! woo hoo I need to take pictures and put them up. I have several different cages and like the FN best just because it is roomy you can do multiple things with them and they are easy to access to clean!

    Marble or porcelain

I just go to the floor store and by the 12x12 tiles and I use the marble. I felt them too and thought the marble was cooler than the granite. LOL They all work and stay really cool imo. Mine were like $1.75 a piece. But I only needed a couple at the time. I then had someone give me a ton of...

I'm new here! I have questions!

Hi and congratulations on the new babies they are adorable. I don't know how you can stand it to wait until the middle of May:hair: I use a shop vac to clean cages and at first it will freak them out a little. I bought the one with the quiet technology so it isn't quite as bad as a regular...

Finally switched to Pyrex litter box

I use the pyrex dishes for litter pans also but I get mine at garage sales or the thrift store. They are usually only a couple of bucks each if that. I pick up alot of my critter stuff at thrift stores/garage sales/dollar store.

    need new vacuum

You just laugh at me! I use it in the cages almost as much as out. But it is great with the carpet. I like being able to just stick it in the cage and make the mess go away versus sweeping it out.

    need new vacuum

I got my shop vac at Home Depot for $100. It is a 14 gallon with big hoses and it has the quiet technology. I LOVE IT!!!! Essentia laughs at me because I'm always telling her how much I love my shop vac. :) Best $100 I ever spent! The chins don't mind it and even come check out the hose while...
