    Snow in 49 states??

Yep, hottest decade on record. Scary stuff. Also: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/264085/february-10-2010/we-re-off-to-see-the-blizzard

The word unobtanium has been used in literally hundreds of works and is also used occasionally in engineering. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Unobtainium In the realm of the film, it is a room temperature superconductor, and they had used the name "unobtanium" as a joke and it stuck.

Yeah, Dolby3D > RealD > Digital IMAX. I wouldn't go out of your way to find a real IMAX, since it was only shot in 1080p (and mastered in 2K). A good explanation of 3D projection systems is here. Saw it twice as well. Pretty good chance it'll break a billion in gross revenue...

    Do shaving work with...

When you buy them, you can ask for taller sides, though I think 2.5" is good enough. Certainly better than the plastic pans.

Yes, the Bass pans are shaving compatible, and yes, you can use fleece with the plastic pans.

Bass pans price increase and added sealant

I noticed that myself, but I haven't had any problems with it. It's not really in a place where they come into contact with it.

Ah, hadn't bothered to look, but here's what it looks like: I don't think they're in any danger from it especially when it's covered by fleece. My unprofessional opinion: it's probably no worse than non-toxic Elmer's glue and whatnot.

    Fleece Troubleshooting

It's whatever you want to do. When I used fleece slip covers, I just put newspaper on the inside on the pan.

I wouldn't care. People say zinc is bad for chinchillas and then buy galvanized pans. ;) Shame it's more expensive, though.

    how cold is too cold

Personally, I'd say that 100 years (give or take) isn't that much time for domestication to occur. It's certainly not the thousands of years cats and dogs have experienced. The same argument can be applied to higher temperatures in that just because they are household chinchillas doesn't mean...

    Checked "Search", Lysol a big "No-No" ???

I usually expect most things safe for other pets to be safe for chinchillas, but it's also better to be safe than sorry. Most would suggest using hydrogen peroxide or vinegar to clean.

That looks pretty nice, might have to buy one. One of mine sort of uses the current litter pan (a terracotta flower pot saucer like this) but the other always chews on the wood shavings and goes elsewhere. :duh:

    PPBN Fleece Liners

I had done this for my chinchillas personally, and I think it worked out alright. It makes it more difficult to just shake out, but it beats them pulling it up and having to vacuum underneath it all the time. The only downside is that neodymium magnets are weakened by heat. Though, it shouldn't...

    The Ferret Nation Club

Got a squiggle bridge, tube, and a few hammocks from CamphorChins and a scrap pack from PPBN. They like it. :)
