Wow that cage is crazy! Tell your dad good job; he definitly deserves it.

I would just give them both some good ol' wood. Safe for both and they think of it as a treat. Plus it lasts longer :))

Any chinchilla under 6 months old should not have out of cage playtime or a wheel. They need those calories they would be burning off to grow and develop.

Many members on here sell both hanging wood toys and toy parts. If you look at the classified section on here you can usually find some wood on sale.

Maybe someone on here will tell you where they get their hay? Is there any farms nearby? You can always ask them if they are willing to part with some hay for a price.
