I wouldn't build a cage from hardware cloth. Doesn't seem to be too sturdy to me. 14ga wire is preferred and hardware cloth is probably somewhere around 18-20ga Steven CCChins

I know a way of getting free "chin chillers". Go to your local granite counter top store. Tell them you need scraps and they will let you pick out what u need. I have been to several places and no one has ever charged me. Especially when I tell them it's for chins. Steven CCChins
