Still a work in progress. Have removed the peace sign fleece cover from the right hand cage and put up more perches and toys in the tops since this pic was taken.

Also I HAVE to share these houses from Twilight Chinchillas! They are too cute!

Finished my FN 182 yesteday, just got the 2 female chins today.

Here's the setup the day before they arrived. I have a 2nd cage backing with a light margarita green that goes with the gray liners. Though, I messed up an realized I couldn't flip the cutout liner to the blue side for the sea animal bandit theme.

(Also, photos of the chinchillas here: http://www.chins-n-hedgies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39141 )

The leopard print cage looks fantastic (minus the plastic wheel, which is 1- plastic and 2- too small for a chinchilla). Love the half-tube!

Sheildmaidenjen, are those graphics on the houses really chin safe? Because they are wonderful! I love the built in hay manger. Those are really something.

Here is Elena and Tseng's brand new FN.

The top is a work in progress. Sorry about the picture quality but I took these with my tablet's rear facing camera!

Everyone's FNs look spectacular. So many people really filled them up. Your chins are probably never bored!

My Critter Nation 162 (double unit) will be shipping out Monday ish! I got it on a 29% discount on Ferret.com. Due to the size and weight of the cage it has extra shipping fees and what not but totally worth it since the box probably wouldn't fit in my economic zoom zoom car. Sale price was $170 (reg $240) and ended up being just shy of $200 with fees and shipping and what not.

I have three CNs and three FNs now. Here's the whole setup:

Each cage except for the one on the far left houses two chinnies. The one on the left currently has 6 girls that I'm chinsitting for a friend, but three will be staying with me in that setup, although I may add an additional level for them.

Im jealous of 1.The amount of chinchillas you have 2. The amount of FNs fully decked out you have 3. The fact you have an *extra* flying saucer 4.The fact you have a chinchillla ROOM
I understand this is probably your job in some way.... but i am all the jelly

I also had a nice chuckle at your industrial hay bin :)

Quick question - what's the difference between Critter Nation and Ferret Nation?

I believe the difference is the bar-spacing. The Critter Nation has bars that are closer together, where the FN has a little bit more of a gap in their bars. Both bar spacing are fine for chinchillas.

All theses cages are making me jealous!! I'm still putting my CN together but it should be done sometime next week!!! I'm so excited for the girls to see it!!

I just got a FN a couple days ago :D Scored one off CL for $75.

My chin is injured right now so he can't be in it for a couple more weeks but I've already started decorating it! Couldn't help myself :p

I have a question about fleece covers for the shelves that come with the cage. For the people that have them, how did you do it? Do you just lay a piece on top? Or sew a cover to slip over it?
