Always fill your water bottles to the very top, and make sure the chins aren't chewing holes in the bottles.

What kind of hay are you feeding? Is it possible the hay is bad? Maybe try a different type of hay.

I'm not sure why you are breeding, but beware that there is no market for selling chinchillas around here. Plan on keeping your kits.
