    SuperPet Fiddlesticks...how dangerous?

I don't think they are kiln dried. Put yours in the oven, you'll see all the sap that comes out!

What happen to my chichilla's ear?

Does he have any cagemates? It looks like another chin may have nipped at his ear, but it's healed now. Just my guess

    Freezing pellets

What's so bad about freezing pellets? I know some people say they get mold when you thaw them, but I have never seen that happen

    Hello!

Glad to have you here :)

Do chinchillas gain weight/fur for the winter?

Wally always molts in the summer- I find fur everywhere- so he probably grows a coat in the winter too

    Ignoring chin

Should I try to find him a companion?

    wow they look miserable!

    Ignoring chin

I'm hesitant to do playtime because my apartment is so nasty, I don't trust it. The carpet is ten years old. I don't want Wally to pick up diseases from it. Plus I don't have an appropriate playtime pen. I have tried cardboard but he just rips it off and eats it, which can cause impaction and...

    Ignoring chin

I haven't been giving my 2-year-old chin as much attention as before, due to some unfortunate recent events. I originally got him because my ex wanted him, but I was the only one who actually took care of him (cleaned his cage, that kind of thing). I grew fond of him though; I like it when he...

    Chinchilla and his fleece girlfriend c;

awe! Wally has one, but he drags it so it's next to his chin-spin and steps on it when he gets on and off of his wheel. It helps him feel safe when he hides under the wheel too, creating another "wall." I haven't seen him cuddle with it

    Bloody, hurt mouth...

When you say they are blocked off, do you mean one chin is on the top and the other is on the bottom? or are they side by side? A picture of the cage could help. I doubt the ledge would cause that, but who knows. Hopefully more experienced members can help. I think a more detailed description...

    Lazy/lethargic?

He is better now. I guess I worried for no reason!

    Lazy/lethargic?

Also his ears aren't red and he is sitting normally- not in a ball but not completely stretched out either

    Lazy/lethargic?

I went into Wally's room to give him his evening scritches. He was sitting on his shelf, as close as he can get to the portable air conditioner blowing on him. He just sat there. Usually when I walk into the room, he runs to a specific shelf. I scritched him and gave him a willow twig. He took...

    peeing on shelves

Maybe; what do you have at the bottom of the cage? Mine always goes to the bottom to pee on fleece liners
