    Milo :)

I just want to clarify that I was prescribed a 10 day course of the Baytril, along with a separate drop( can't remember offhand what) to put in the ear.

    Milo :)

I had to give my Dexter oral Baytril, for a nasty ear infection that spead and involved a facial nerve when he was a kit. He was a petstore chin so I can't say for sure how old he was but he was around 350 grams. It was quite a battle with lots of handfeeding, and keeping him moving when he...

    Home made cages

I built a cage as well. I put windows in mine and I am very glad I did. It gives the boys a bit bigger view of their world. The do make use of them as you can see.

What to feed a pit bull?

I have tried Chicken soup,.. I have heard it's good,.. it just didn't work for me, probably because it has grains. You should be able to pop into the Vet office and hop on the scale anytime.

What to feed a pit bull?

I don't have a Pitbull, my pup is an American, Olde English cross (65lbs or so at 8 1/2 months) but I switched to Orijen and am really happy with it. When I swtiched to grain free I cut her food back from 4 cups per day to 3 1/3 and she gained 9 lbs that month! I have since cut back further to 3...

    Worried!

Don't feel bad! This has happened to many of us before we got used to Chinnie pee. ..... Now once I posted pics of the scariest looking Poo I had ever seen from one of my chinnies. I was quite worried! .... It turned out to be a peed on pellet...... I felt pretty silly!

    Hello from Winnipeg

It took me a while to write my last post so I missed your question about the Vet sorry! I do know of a few Vets here. It is hard for me to tell you for sure of a good Vet here because I am not really pleased with my current Vet, but Centennial Animal Hospital looks very promising. They are the...

    Hello from Winnipeg

It's great to see that you are willing to take everyones advice about the breeding issue. If you are getting the 2 level feisty ferret cage I am pretty sure that you can order a metal pan from Grandview Rabbitry that will split the cage in half nicely. He has great prices there and does do...

    Hello from Winnipeg

I just saw from your profile that indeed you do have a male female pair. It would be a really bad idea to let them breed, but the good news is everyone here can offer great suggestion on how to separate the chinnies,..or their cage if you only have one. This is why I said that Winnipeg has a...

    Hello from Winnipeg

Well this is very very exciting for me!!! Another member on the forums from Winnipeg! I haven't seen anyone besides me from Winnipeg on the forums in the years I have been here. I saw that Kijiji ad about the retiring herd, but knew that no "reputable" breeders were in Manitoba, much less...

    Pet Store Chins

I totally understand Peggy's explanation about what quality or not,.. the petstore chin may or may not be. I think they must be at greater risk of some other illnesses though having been kept around so many other species right? I know at some petsores here bunnies are kept right next to or above...

    thinking of changing diet?

I have been using the Alderpark feed since last February I believe. I switched from Oxbow to the Alderpark and all three of my boys have done really really well on it. I have had some nice gains in weight and they look nice as well. (Well except Diesel,..but that is because he is a strange one...
