My chinchilla Pippy runs and sits on top of her Chin Spin. It's pretty funny to watch her run on top of the wheel and her mom is running correctly inside the wheel. :rofl:

Wow.. I believe they were $52 each when I bought my first 3, and I was going to buy 2 more the other week and forgot.. they were definitely $58 just a few weeks ago. :hammer:

Chinchillas should not have fruit or vegetables of any kind.. rose hips are ok but only 2-3 a week at the most.

I use 1x6 in all my cages. None of my chins have problems with that size, they all sit/sleep on them including my pig-chin Lexi, who weighs about 880grams.

They are #13 now I believe.. just voted, wish I saw this earlier!

Chinnies can live 10-20 years.. so after that long you might want to consider buying a new cage anyways if you get a new small pet after your chinnie has crossed the rainbow bridge. I'm going to recommend the FN141 also.. they are sturdier than the Prevue and with the full-side open doors...

Haha mine do that too.. especially my trio (Luna, Lexi, Lily)! My "big boned" chin (Lexi) is 860g and she likes to squish herself up against the side of the cage in that position.

I have sneaked a chinchilla into a hotel room before... I picked her up after college orientation and mom and I were staying in the hotel for a night so we wouldn't have to drive the 2 hours home at night. I carried her carrier in a cardboard box so noone could see her. ;) You should be fine...

My rescue mom, Eva, does this when her babies are nursing.. freaks me out sometimes lol

You can buy them on Amazon or one of the chinchilla stores on here (most of them sell rosehips). I also don't know where in FL you are, but there is a herb store in Melbourne that sells rosehips also - but it's cheaper from Amazon if you get free shipping.

Um wow.. can't believe he thinks it's ok to treat chinchilla's like that! Did anyone else watch the "chinchilla train" video of his.. ? Is it just me, or does the chinchilla seemed scared/stressed while being dragged around like that?!

I LOVE ebony whites. I only have one (Lexi -- my avatar) but they are definitely my favorite color of chin. ;)
