I have two chinchillas. The 1yr old male doesnt seem to be growing much in size compared to my other chin. My 2nd chin is about 8 months old and he's way larger then my 1 yr old. What is normal about the amount of food consumption? Both of the chins have their bowls with food available to them...

I have 2 male chins. I check them for hair rings often, but have never actually had to remove one. If this happens in the future i would like to be prepared. Do you actually have to pull the penis out to remove the hair ring? I am nervous about doing this, as im scared to hurt them.

I recently rescued a white mosaic chin, who wasnt well treated. When i pet him through the bars of his cage he nips. I usually use a firm "no" and he stops. Does anyone have any tips for correcting this behaviour?:hmm:

Recently i noticed 2 sores on the toes of my chins back feet. I had thought that he had injured them perhaps jumping on his ledges, but i noticed him chewing on his toes. Does anyone have any ideas how i could stop this? or why he would even do this?:hmm: Thanks!
