hair ring questions

I have 2 male chins. I check them for hair rings often, but have never actually had to remove one. If this happens in the future i would like to be prepared.

Do you actually have to pull the penis out to remove the hair ring? I am nervous about doing this, as im scared to hurt them.

Well, in order to check for hair rings, you do have to unsheath the penis and pull it out so you should be used to it unless you have been doing the hair ring checks incorrectly. I have only had to remove a hair ring twice in several years of having chins. What I have done is used KY Jelly to lubricate the ring, then gently roll it off the penis. They have never been so bad that it was hard to get off.

There was a video made as well to show how to check for hair rings...I'll have to go find it, though.

I know this is a calm chin, but I made the video of a calm chin so people can actually see the process, rather than a blur of a spastic chin. Maybe I will make a spastic chin video also!

Stupid youtubers...Also another question-is it more common to find a hair ring sheathed or unsheathed? My only experience so far has been finding one that was keeping the chin from withdrawing-luckily I found it right away and he was fine, but I was just wondering if most occurrences are not severe enough to prevent sheathing?

I have found pieces of fur matted on the penis when it was sheathed. It wasn't a complete ring, but rather a little mat of fur that was stuck to the penis.

I regularly remove hair rings around here. My boys love (and I do mean love) those cuddle buddies.. often.
