    Getting back to my roots!

Sorry that i "wigged" out. I just didnt think that people were going to take things so literal like i dont have a clue that im still going to be producing a litter here or there. I figured if anything perhaps people would be happy to see im so thrilled to go back to something that i havent had...

    Getting back to my roots!

I dont see anywhere i posted that i was going to be strictly a pet owner again, i stated i was going back to my roots. (which i am... since i was young ive always had a breeding pair.. before the internet, before the forums.) The line above clearly states im well aware its still "breeding," just...

    Getting back to my roots!

Heh, well since i have almost always had at least a breeding pair, it kinda is. ;) Thanks for your spark of encouragement to my step though. ;) Bigger cages, no breeding runs, etc TO ME is at least a bigger step in the direction of PETS.. So, you happy or not, i still am & wont be allowing you...

    Getting back to my roots!

As a lot of you may already be aware of, i have decided to sell out most of my animals, cages, web site, etc. After many long years of keeping my chinchillas not only as pets, but breeders i have come to the point in life where i want them back as pets. Im extremely excited for this all to take...

    One toe?!

I agree, ive had chinchillas without whole legs from previous amputations. If anything, they have a story which makes them unique. As said, they get along fine without. Congrats!

    My chameleon needs a name...

Thanks for the great names everyone!! He is still not named as i just cannot find the RIGHT one. I dont think he minds though. I think its so hard because i know he will still change so much. He has gotten a lot of yellows, greens, blues, & orangey reds. He's quite the beaut! I <3 him lots &...

took my gliders in the tree today

I have to agree with everyone! Definitely not a really wise choice, however, unlikely something would happen, but the possibility isnt worth it. Especially having more than one out there at a time! Anyways, my reasoning for posting was, if it hasnt already been mentioned, how about purchasing...

    My chameleon needs a name...

Ok, so i have had my chameleon for over a month now & cannot for the life of me name him. Ive never had this much trouble naming a pet until now. I really thought it would be easy, but of course not!=] Anyways, im really hoping to go with something colorful(of course). If not colorful i think...

    Ewwww... Retailers Resell Used Underwear

When dealing with something so "personal" thats really the way it SHOULD be! Under garments are ALWAYS washed before using here, however, on occasion i do let a shirt or something slip. EEK!

    You know

I was another who loved being pregnant. At the very end i was terrible uncomfortable, but i loved it enough i've thought about offering to be a surrogate for my cousins who cannot have any. BUT, right now we are having troubles getting pregnant again on our own. =[ Anyone willing to send us...

    Getting my first Chameleon!

Ive been staking out with my telephoto lens to get photos of him without him being stressed. hahah He's so great already & has such personality. I offered a worm for the first time the other night(as he was only on pin heads & fruit flies at the breeders) Anyways, he fired up all crazy, he...

    Getting my first Chameleon!

He has made it home!!!!!! My friend ended up having a bearded dragon shipped in with my cham too, it was an extra exciting package! He is settling in great. I got him to eat 5 or 6 crickets from my hand. So, far, so good.

    Getting my first Chameleon!

That was actually a red bar girl.(At least from what the site that i found it from stated, seemed pretty reputable.) Yeah, captive, if kept correctly they last longer, but its hard to mimic everything 100% correctly. In captivity it more than likely is true the females dont last nearly as long...

    Getting my first Chameleon!

Yeah, at shows you can pick up a veiled for around 35, everything is a little cheaper at the shows, depending on what ones you go to. Typical age for a cham is around 5 years, so yours did good! For females i believe average is more like 2 years because of egg binding though.=[ Our lows are...
