I was just looking at myself in the mirror and this morning and I've been thinking I do not really like the way I'm looking right now. Seven months pregnant is not a good look on me and funny enough I could definitely enter a pet look a like contest with my chinnie Marble because with this big round belly I'm sporting I am definitely looking like him more and more. Yeesh I can't wait for this baby to be born. I feel like a beached whale.

just think.........when you give birth you will probably lose 15 pounds in 1 minute!
i am not a breast feeding advocate or anything, but i do know that breastfeeding does burn a lot more calories per day...........

I know just how you feel. I felt far from beautiful when I was preggers, but everyone kept telling me I looked great. Just know that however uncomfortable you look/feel, your friends and family probably think you have that pretty maternal glow!

The thing is I enjoy being pregnant until about 5 months or so right when you typically start noticing the weight of the belly. Then there is the whole not knowing what the baby will look like and the gender until your ultrasound. It all drives me nuts but it's well worth the wait.

I was lucky, and although I gained 50 pounds with each of my pregnancies, I didn't look like I did. I absolutely loved being pregnant and missed the baby kicks after baby was born. But the weight really does drop quickly afterward. I also breastfed, and that also helps take off the weight quicker. I was back down to my prepregnancy size in just a few months. So enjoy your pregnancy time, because it goes by too quickly as it is.

I was another who loved being pregnant. At the very end i was terrible uncomfortable, but i loved it enough i've thought about offering to be a surrogate for my cousins who cannot have any.

BUT, right now we are having troubles getting pregnant again on our own. =[ Anyone willing to send us some baby dust, we'd greatly appreciate it!=]

Of course, i vote b/fing. Its better for you & the baby! Plus. the 50# i gained was gone within 4 weeks. I was the thinnest i have ever been around 6 to 8 weeks after!

B/fing is definitely not for everyone, but after the hard part in the beginning its all great things from there!

This is kind of a side note to the thread, but are you charting your cycles? If not, I'd highly suggest looking into Natural Family Planning, also known as Fertility Awareness Method. It will help you figure out when you're ovulating and when to plan on being with your husband. It's a good and healthy method for both avoiding pregnancy and achieving pregnancy.

lol........i have an application on my phone called "my days" and it actually tracks everything and "predicts" based on your cycle when you are most fertile.

Yeah, the good thing with NFP (FAM) is that you get to know your body. So you'll know the signs of fertility and whether or not you're not ovulating. So it will let you know if you do have some sort of infertility issue.

Some people will still get cycles but not even be ovulating. At least with using these methods you'll be able to tell if you're ovulating and when the optimum time is. Not to get TMI or anything.

I was the opposite when I was pregnant. I LOVED the way my body looked! *sigh* Kinda miss it, lol!

Ditto....everyone told me how "huge" I was, but i never felt that big. I lost 30lbs in 1 month...had all the baby weight gone by 6. I gained way too much though.......60lbs while pregnant. Eeek.

Oh of course, we know how the system works. :tease: hehehe We have tracked things,(i have for the past 2 years now) we have used the kits, the no fail way of trying when it doesnt exactly matter, etc. lol

Im actually scheduled for my first appt with the fertility specialist in the next few weeks. We may be going with an exploratory surgery as my mom had endometriosis. Definitely not what i wanted to hear, but at this point i will do what i need to in order to possibly have another beautiful baby!

Its been a rough almost two years now, but we are on the right track now & we are hopeful it will pay off within the next 6 months to a year at latest. It has definitely been a test for us, but we are making the most of it.

(We'd be willing to take any extra baby dust from those willing to lend a little though!)
