I just wish she would give me some little sign of wanting to be here on Earth. A 1g weight gain.....taking more than 1/2 cc at a feeding...being eager to eat, or holding her head up. At this point I would take anything as a positive sign. But its like every 2 hours my heart just breaks.

Anybody have experience using the "3"? Everybody is on show right now, but ran into the distributor at the feed store and they said that Fibre3 is the newest and biggest seller currently. I have no problems with current feed, but the fibre3 is available in smaller bags which are easier for me...

Honestly? We stick our buds in the food dehydrator. We're lazy though. Make sure you pick the buds when theyre dry, so not first thing in the morning or after the dew has set. Hth.

DONT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE! Its very dangerous to have chinchillas while pregnant.....to your purse! You'll be "nesting" and buying more fleece sets than you can possibly use until the baby is in kindergarten. I have this on good authority.

Be sure to check any fleece houses or hidy boxes for poop. We have a couple "closet poopers" here and if I didnt know where to look, I would think those chins only pooped four brown tic tacs a day.

If you go the sanding route, its nice to have a full backup set of shelves that you can just swap out fully when disinfection time comes. We used to just take an entire day to clean two cages, but found that if you just do a complete swap out its not as much of a pain. We can get everyone...

I should add: The skin tear goes up around the inside of the armpit. About 1/4 inch by 1 & 1/2 inches in length. Not tiny.

Old thread, but I thought I would add: Theres one in every crowd, my chocolate chip little girl sleeps on her back with her feet in the air most nights. She looks like a squashed bug. Sometimes I dont think her A connects to B.....but thats another story.
