It's cute but where was it made? Terra cotta made in Mexico and China are known to have high lead levels.

A lot of times it tells you on the bottom of the pot or on the label. You should also be able to call HD and ask them, as whoever does the buying will know. I know that the terra cotta pots that we have either come from Mississippi or Italy, on both of them it comes either on the label or there is something stamped on the bottom.

Just an FYI: At my store (general groceries, north of Pittsburgh), the Lead testing kits are about $3.00. Not sure how they work though.
