Sigma comes home Sunday.
Crazy, right?!
I ordered a Martin's Chinchilla Skyscraper (I believe it's called something like that) with four different levels.
All levels are wire mesh.
Me, being the clever one, decided to sew fleece liners for the top three levels so that Siggy doesn't hurt his feet.
Problem? All of my measurements are off. Completely. I don't know how I messed this up so horribly, but it's certainly not going to protect his feet. I was thinking about just getting a bunch of fleece blankets and kind of piling them ontop of the shelves until I can save up a bit of money (and time) to order a custom cage set that someone, hopefully, with more experience than I can make.
Is this okay? I plan to just put kiln-dried pine on the bottom of the cage until Sigma is more potty-trained.
Are there any other temporary solutions I can have to cover wire mesh floors?
