I wouldn't do it. Dishwashers get build up... Not to mention the risk of debris falling and clogging stuff up.

I'd still get some Blue Kote (Or if you can't find that go to walgreens and get Gentian Violet, you might have to ask the pharmacist, ours keeps it behind the counter) And keep it applied til it's healed.

All my boys are fine. It's not their favorite (apple and cotton take that title) But they take it when offered (just not overly enthusiastic) and no one has had any health issues. How can I want to trim them? Allergies.... Less flowering for me to deal with more wood for the boys. LOL :)

Seems to me, some college's were beginning to loosen up their rules and allow some small caged pets in some of their living quarters. Hubby use to work for a university and it was a huge deal at the time. It was a few years ago though....But something you could look into. Where we were at...

I don't think I've ever seen the exact reasoning. I figure it dulls everyone's sense of smell so the 'new' chin's scent isn't over powering. Someone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though :)

I only had to introduce once. Did cage in cage method and once I let them all have the cage I put vanilla on everyone's nose and base of the tail....

That's my thought, I'd just let the chin dust a few times and see if it comes loose. Even with a second pair of hands I'd be way too afraid to take a pair of scissors near a chin....I know how wiggly mine can be. lol

I agree. I'd just get a same sex pair. For me it would be a hassle with play time (double the play time since they can't come out at the same time..)...etc Though that could be avoided by just alternating play nights. That's what we tend to do. 4 chins out at the same time just doesn't...

LOL Um, interesting thread. I'd get you pictures....but my boys are downstairs. I haven't been allowed to go downstairs in over three weeks (Preterm labor).....:/ (YES their being taken care of though, just not by me....Boo) All the poops I've seen are closer to your 'small' example. :)

You can try and find a local breeder and see if they have any. I was able to get a 50lb bag for $20. Only down side is it's blue sparkle and I don't like how it works comparatively speaking to blue cloud....but I'm not showing and it gets the job done... ETA you can also check local feed...
