    Coughing Chin

Exactly! But I should note that there is no stresser. I'll just be studying and then she'll start. And like I said, it only lasts for 15 seconds.

    Coughing Chin

Not at all. She'll be inside her house or just sitting on the top bench of her cage and start doing it. There's no rhyme or reason as to when she'll start.

    Coughing Chin

It's more of a weezy cough, definitely not high pitched. Also, I know she's not choking because she's never eating on anything when she does this.

    Coughing Chin

Hey everyone, I have my chinchilla for a year now and a couple times a week she will randomly start coughing (at least that's what it sounds like). There are no signs of illness and it acting like her usual hyper happy self. But her coughing worries me because my other chin has never done...

    Not Chewing

Hey Everyone, I just got my baby girl about a week ago. Everything has been going perfectly except I have noticed something odd. She hasn't been chewing on anything...I've notice a bit of bite marks on her hide-a-way house but that's it. After all the reading I've done, it sounds like she...

    Chinchillas and Traveling

I will definitely just put fleece down on top of the mesh work. I just wont use that try. The drive will be about 2.5 hours unfortunately, but shes about 4 months...

    Chinchillas and Traveling

I think I will just go with a fleece bedding. That seems the easiest and cheapest all the way around. Ill just use the bedding for a litter pan if she goes in the same spot.

    Chinchillas and Traveling

Thanks everyone! That makes me feel a lot better. I was also wondering about the bedding. The cage I have has a tray under it with a wire mesh work for the bottom. How exactly do I put the bedding down? Just on top of the wire so she doesn't hurt her feet? Or fill the tray up to the wiring...

    Chinchillas and Traveling

I am considering getting a chinchilla, and I've done a bit of research, but there's one area that is specific to my life currently and I can't seem to find an answer. I tend to bounce around from different living arrangement. During the weekdays, I have a typical place to go to, which is the...
