    Silly question

I've been working with some "extreme" lines of mosaics that are genetic. They don't throw identical patterning, but these lines have been throwing heavily marked offspring, or ones with "extreme" markings (as some call them).

    How exciting!

I'd start hand feeding as a supplement so that all four aren't as hungry. I do this with my litters of trips to prevent fights from arising, and it works great. I've had an unbelievable number of trips and quads this year, plus a litter of quints. I feel your pain!

    Wisconsin?

I'm in Eau Claire (WI) and breed/show my chinchillas. I do take in occasional surrenders if people need help, but it isn't my main focus. The MCBA October show as well as the ECBC April Field Day show, are very fun shows to attend. They are both usually held at the same location in Barneveld...

    chin spin still making noise

The chin spins I've had in the past, I never found them to be completely quiet/silent :( Luckily my chins are now out in our A/C and heated garage, so I don't worry about them making noise too much.

    critter nation question

If you have plenty of solid surfaces for your chin to be on if wanted, then I wouldn't see why it would be an issue! :)

    Questions about Bass Pans

I have not coated any of the pans I have purchased from companies.

    What brand water bottle

You could also stop at a grocery store along the way and fill a gallon of RO water. Just a thought :)

    loofah bits as treats

My chins really enjoy the loofah too! I don't see where "too much of it" would pose a problem to your chin! :)

    Switching off junk food

I second both of the above opinions. I would recommend a "cold turkey" switch of feed.

    Which dust is the best?

I use Blue Cloud for all my chins, and like it better than Blue Sparkle.

    good breeding cage

Hello, I am the breeder you've been chatting with. If you're wanting to not use fleece, you could look into ordering Bass Pans for the CN cage, as they are about 2 1/2 inches deep, and metal (like a "normal" pan). Personally, I think half of the double CN would suffice for a breeding pair...
