For what I know, german violet is brownish in colour where african violet is bluish. I've never seen any germans nor have I seen really good example pics of them.

Jenni, when I saw your boy at the show I tought that he looks just like a light tan velvet whose colour is still in progress. I have a brown velvet girl who didn't show any tov and now (at the age of 8 weeks) she's obviously velvet. Just let him grow up and wait what he turns out to be. :)

I have 2 shih tzu, 13 months old Dante and 10 weeks old Emmet. Pic is nearly 2 weeks old and Emmet has grown quite bit already. I love my boys to death and they know it. :heart5:
