My female kept sitting on top of her house instead of with her kits. I ended up removing the house and putting a glass jar in so I could observe them all together from a distance. She spazzed a little at first but then her mommy instincts took over.
I disagree with that. I had my male for over 4 months (was told he was a female) and then one day I saw my plush balls hanging down low. I never saw them before.
Are you looking to breed them? I would feel the sides of her belly for elongated nipples as well. You can also weigh her frequently to see if she's gaining weight. I would absolutely recommend separating them if you don't want kits.
Some chins recover fine... some have complications. The best thing you can do for your chin is to find a vet who is very experienced in neutering chins. You do need to be prepared that you may have to hand feed them for a few days while they recovered. I had to hand feed my chin for about 4 days...

It really all depends on that specific chins personality. If humping is the worst you have to deal with then I wouldn't stress too much about it. Worst comes to worst, you can separate them if they can't live together safely.
