Athena sleeps in her hammock A LOT (hence the profile pic!) She also usually totes her little stuffed monkey up there with her for snuggles(:

A quick vacuum, food, and water change every day. Along with the removal of soiled bedding (approx 10 min total). Every Saturday is a complete change out, vacuum, wipedown (30ish min). Every other Saturday, so every 2 weeks, is a complete change out, vacuum, scrub down, and dry (approx 1 hour).

I have no idea what is going on with Athena. She's excessively itchy lately. I mean, my skin is completely dried out, part of living in Alaska. Could she also be suffering from this? She was fine during the summer time, and her amount of dust bathing has not changed :( Any suggestions??

Our cage had to have a padlock on each door... And Athena broke one of the bars at the corner of the cage and got out that way.. Where there is a will, there is a way. Just keep an eye on them and keep a check for weak areas on their cage!

I agree with the guard, but also try to keep her up on a table or something away from walls and stacked items. You need to try to keep Bella as protected as possible because there are soooooooo many diseases that mice/rats can carry. Especially if they aren't of the pet variety, because lord...
