i have seen TOV about 20 times now and have nooo clue what it means!!!!1:hair:

No. Touch of Velvet refers to the dark veiling over the back and face of a chinchilla. Do a search for black velvet here on the forum. You can also see Stacie's website at www.chinnation.com. another one off the top of my head wuld be Sumiko's website www.chinchillachateau.com.

When the chinchilla shows this veiling, it is called a TOV (insert chin color).

Thanks for clearing that up lauralynne, I was going to add to my post but I was running for the door late for work.

Sumikos site has really good photos of tovs and. Cheryl from chechinchillas has several different tov animals on her site and in her breeding program as well.
