what do you think about the fur?

So it has been 2 months since we adopted Jeffy, the fur-chewer, I took some pictures today and see if his fur is growing back.

1st pic was taken 3 weeks ago
the rest of the pics were taken this morning

it looks like its growning back to me. But with how short he got the fur when he was bitting i think itll take a while before its fixed. I havent had a fur bitter but my cat has/had a shaved patch it takes about a month and a half for him to look normal. but im guessing cats are a little different.

on another note when his fur is back he will be a very pretty chin.

It does seem like its grown back, but a very little amount. Maybe more like milimeters. I'm unaware how fast chinchilla's fur does grow though, so it could be months before you begin to see more noticable results.

It can take a few months for the fur to grow back.

A chin gets a 1/3 of it's fur in every 3 months, so every 9 months they have a whole new coat, so I would say not so much. But I would dust more often.

Hi Riven, thanks for the info, so it is going to be a long process i guess? When you say dust more often, like how many times a week? My another "normal" chin dust twice a week, what about this fur-chewer? Thank you!

It looks to me like it may have gotten longer in a couple places. I have a furchewer, it takes forever when he occasionally stops chewing for it to grow back in. Good luck.

The fur has to grow back in, and like Riven said, it takes awhile.

I have some good news!!!! It has been 5 months since we adopted Jeffy the fur chewer,he has been living with our first chinchilla happily. He eats well, sleeps tight, and plays lots. His fur has been growing like weeds for the last few weeks. Thought it would be nice to give you guys some updates:wink2:
