Update on Beck's infected foot

Beck had an infection in his foot after Dante bit him a few weeks ago. We started with chloramphenicol to get the infection under control before possible surgery, and after 2 days Beck stopped eating completely. We switched to Baytril injections (diluted with saline so they won't burn) and I handfed him until he started eating again. We have one more injection tomorrow to finish the full 10 day course. His foot looks much better (he may not need surgery at all!), he's eating on his own, and he's acting more like himself, including getting into trouble while he's out. We'll have a re-check visit on Wednesday where I'm hoping the vet says the foot is healed and no surgery is needed.

Back from our recheck visit. No surgery needed for Beck! The toe is all healed up!
