I called my vet's office to order some Oxbow food for my chins and decided to ask and see if they are able to get the Oxbow hay as well. When they informed me they did, I asked how much for 9lbs of Western Timothy. She told me $50+. I was in awe and told her that I could get it for $27.95. Well guess what? She asked the vet and he is going to pricematch it for me.

That sounds like my vet charging me $48.95 for Lactated Ringers when I can get it for $4.99 and free shipping. I'm glad your vet was willing to price match for you.

that is about what i pay when i buy the oxbow 9lbs from my local petstore. they are a "preferred" oxbow retailer so the hay is super fresh. i wish my feed store carried fresher oxbow hay, i hate having to go to 2 stores!
