strange bump!!!

Today I was playing with Jeffy, and when he stretched his body up trying to get my apple stick, i saw he has a red (about the size of the tip of the little finger) round, soft to the touch, hairless bump on his furry belly....... There is no hair on the bump, it is not a wound, there is no blood, feels like there is liquid inside, for sure we are taking him to the vet but before we can make it to the vet, can anyone tell me possibly what that is?????? He is 4 years old.

It could be an abscess or a cyst. Both of which require a vet for treatment.

Does it feel as if you can push the bump inside his belly? It could also be an umbilical hernia and it may be red because he is rubbing it on things in his cage and the hair is parting open in that area.
