quick question about the marble slabs

i put a ad out on a local yardsale site looking for a couple more marble slabs and someone said they had granet ones.. does that work also? i don't have a clue about granet.

I use granite. Bought 12"x12" granite tiles at Menard's for like a buck. Lowe's cut them with their wet saw for me for free.

I use mainly granite but also sometimes ceramic. I get all my granite for free from a local countertop maker. I go through their scrap about once a week and take all the "good" pieces.
