question about standards

not sure if this is where I would ask this but. . . . can standards have freckle ears?

Only beiges or colors requiring a beige gene (tan, pink white, brown velvet) develop freckles. However, not all lines of beiges develop freckles either. Most of the beiges I've seen do have freckles... and of course, my beige lines all have freckled ears and most eventually get freckles on their nose and paws too, haha.

If your chin has freckles I would say you have a beige. Lots of people like beiges are lite standards (people who don't any better)

I read somewhere if you put a chin's cage in front of a window where they would get a lot of sunlight their ears would freckle due to too much sun exposure. Is that true or false?

While UV exposure could cause a freckled chin's freckles to become more numerous/darker in appearance, a chin that isn't predisposed to developing freckles won't develop them whether in the sun or not.

I would equate it to how some people just get very tan when exposed to the sun, without any freckles, and some will tan AND get more/darker freckles.

I'd hope there aren't any chins in direct sunlight though to test this theory!
