WYSTERIA - 6 1/2 weeks

She has gotten VERY cuddly in the last few days...always wants to be laying right near you all snuggled up.
I know its a bit hard to tell in some pictures, but she looks like she's going to end up a long haired dilute Tortie.

So cute! I have a new foster today that I inherited from one of the foster families I mentor. Unfortunately, he's circling the drain (which is why I have him now). He's 7 weeks old and won't eat, so I'm force feeding, giving sub-q fluids, and he's on metronidizole. I really hope he starts to improve, but I'm not sure he's going to make it. :(

New weights

Pip: Last weighed 2lbs 2oz on Saturday and he is now 2lbs 10.oz on Wednesday night.

Waffle: Last weighed 1lb 5oz on Saturday and he is now 1lb 8oz on Wednesday night.

Walrus: Last weighed 1lb 3oz on Saturday and he is now 1lb 9oz as of Wednesday night.

Webster: Last weighed 1lb 2oz on Saturday and on Wednesday night he is now 1lb 6oz

Whistle: Last weighed 1lb 7oz on Saturday and on Wednesday night he came in at 1lb 12oz

Waverly: Last weighed 14.25oz on Saturday and weighed in at 1lb 1.5oz on Wednesday night.

Wysteria has finally grown! She was remaining at this 15.5oz forever there...and she is now at around 1lb 1oz. I'm still watching her though because she goes up and down.

I'm sooo ticked that I don't have a camera on hand at all times right now! Tonight my husband walked into the bedroom and said "Ummmm you have GOT to see this...the kitten is sleeping in a bowl."
I thought he was exaggerating this a bit, but come to see.

Sure enough!!! Waverly was IN THE WATER BOWL!!! Now, this isn't some large water bowl...they have a few water bowls and this one is a deep soup bowl! It was HILARIOUS!!! I walked around with her in this silly bowl and she just loved it! Then all the other kittens saw the attention she was getting, so Whistle went over and tried to fit himself into the other empty bowl that was sitting there! It wasn't as cozy and he was actually trying to DIG it deeper for himself, but *sigh* alas...he could not do it. HEHE
Then Walrus came over to the bowl that Waverly had stretched her way out of and cozied up in it!

UGH it was just too hilarious...I wish we could have gotten footage of the whole thing.

So today was the sad day...I had to take the kittens back to the shelter :cry3:

I miss them like crazy and I hope they aren't too freaked out without us around...

BUT the good news???
I walked in with the crate of kittens, set it down, and right at that moment 2 guys and a girl were walking out of the kitten bay. They saw Webster in the crate and HAD to see him. They fell in love and he had a home...we were there for hardly 2 minutes and he got scooped up! They were already approved to take 2 kittens on the "buddy program" that they have. SO, he'll have a home with another kitten right around his same age. I'm really happy for him.

I may not get to go and visit them again until Tuesday, but you can be sure I'll be there by Wednesday for sure! They get to be shown to the public on Tuesday. Right now they are in the big huge wildlife cage...they will get their shots and all of that and then be put out to the kitten bay. I took three towels that I put in bed with us so they smell like us...and they'll have those to cuddle.

My husband and I cried a lot...

BUT, I get my new Chin next Saturday
