Neutered male

Do male chinchillas still show problems like spraying when they are neutered and cage with the opposite sex? Would a female that is not spayed but caged with a neutered male show any behavioral problems?

Male chinchillas tend to not be able spray period. They'll stand up and act like it, but they don't get it down quite like girls do.

I see you have one chinchilla, why are you considering a opposite-sexed cagemate? Why not just get a same-sex buddy. You run the same risk of introductions not working in a same-sex pair as an opposite sexed pair and still ending up with 2 cages.
