Manicures?

Does anyone else get their nails done? I recently started getting Solar nails instead of acrylic. It is all composite rather than being paint. So there is no paint to chip off, all the color is just like the acrylic powder


Anyone else care to share ?

I have been getting mine done since I was a senior in high school and I love getting them done. I used to have the acrylic nails done but I switched to Solar Nails a few years ago. I have found they last longer than the acrylic so I can go 3 to 4 weeks without a fill depending on what I am doing. And they do not break as easily. I have slammed fingers in car doors with both acrylic and solar nails and while my natural nail may have broken, with the solar nails, the composite and tip did not break. Unlike the acrylic where the entire nail broke, natural and tip.

What are solar nails? Are they like gel nails?

They are like gel just with more options I guess? And they wont discolor if you tan, which I dont, it is bad for my tattoo's, and skin cancer is a bummer, so I dont want that either.
