Male Chinchilla Spraying

I have heard of female chinchillas spraying...but males?

Sometimes if you get too close to the cage, Doppler will stand on his hind legs and spray urine. Has he been spending too much time around females? LOL! Or is this something male chinchillas do too?

I've only seen a handfull of males try to spray. They just don't make the best sprayers--horrible aim!

Yes, males sometimes try to spray. They just stink at it. Females are pros when it comes to spraying.

lol never knew males could do that. lol females r the pros i guess but then again we're the pros at everything
