Lunging

My little Onyx will come up to the cage bars, stick his nose through and when I come up to nose kiss him, he lunges foward and back with a little hiss. What is all that about? He will do it 3 or 4 times in a row. Is he trying to scare me off? The little toot!

Yep, that's just him getting some attitude with you. They think they are much bigger and scarier than what they really are...

He's just being sassy for sure! Chins are weird like that. Lunging is usually a chin trying to defend his territory...but with you, he's just sort of play pretending that he is a big, bad chin.

Onyx is funny like that! What a bratty chin. I think he's showing off for you...you know how vicious he is! He could also just be trying to get your attention...chins do all sorts of weird stuff to get attention.
