i found a plug and i dont understand...

i have a female that is completely separated from any males, (im showing her in Oct.) but i found what looks like a plug but its flat and thin. its the same color and same length just flat..

The run in the back is fenced off so the male cant even be above her at all.

Any ideas? the only thing i can think of is that the male picked up the one from the female hes currently with and dropped it in to the others cage??

Could be a heat plug, also. How long has she been separated?

shes been by her self since i weaned her in December last year. she's 10 months old now and the run directly above her is blocked off from the male with wire. (cage came that way so i left it) the run gives the male access to only 2 of the 3 cages.
