I have been rather "reinventing" myself lately via decorating and wardrobe, and I have bought some really AWESOME skirts from this gal on that website Etsy.com - All of her skirts have a story and inspiration. They are just *so* neat. After buying a few more skirts from her - an idea hit me. I have been thinking of this for a while. So I emailed her and she said YES! I am so tickled.

She is going to make me 3 semi custom skirts. One in honor of my parents with a pink girly spring rebirth theme with possible a cherry tree branch applique

One for 'Tater as 'Tater helped lift some of my depression (with a special hedgehog carrying pocket included! *fleece lined to spoil 'Tater even more!) and a hh applique!!!!

One partially made out of a scrub top that my puppy ripped - I was crushed that I couldn't wear it anymore - it had been ripped beyond repair my mum had made that scrub top for me.

I am so excited!

for her ready made skirts the prices usually are around 70$ give or take if they are shorter, longer or involve more work, but they are super duper well made, no spare threads, all the seams are finished off so they wont fray, and when you are talking patchwork - thats a lot of seams. Also if you get one applique on it, the applique is "heat bonded: then silk stitched the whole way around so it never ever has a chance of coming off. She also uses really nice material, not the cheapie stuff, and often includes vintage material (like my owl one is a vintage feed sack) plus it is supporting the "small guy" not a huge corporation, and she just puts so much love and effort and care into it. Plus the packaging is lovely :) I will keep going back and back and back.
