Hay wheel

I have bought a wheel that holds hay and hangs from the side of the cage ( petSmart) . The girls climb all over it and not sure it was a great idea ... they could get hurt. Any thoughts on this ?

I would remove it from their cage. Chins have been known to get their paws stuck in the wheel. Hay wheels can lead to broken bones and amputations. Check the classifieds section. There are members who sell/make chin safe hay holders.

I agree, take the hay wheel out...it isn't a good product for chins. They work well for guinea pigs and maybe some other animals, but not chinnies.

on a side night watching the two girls take a bath together is one of the cutest things i have ever seen

I agree wheels do not equal safety for chins. If you would like to ensure they always have enough hay available I would recommend hay cubes.
