Twilight Chinchillas has a basic hay holder for $8 and it's wood.

There might be more people that sell hay holders on the forum you can try looking here.

Also, fleece bags hanged to the cage can be used for holding hay. That's what I have for my chinchillas, and they're pretty easy to make.

is the one on this website safe?

the poplar hay holder is safe, but i just see your chin pulling all the hay out of it anyway, due to the larger holes between the wood slats.

a ceramic coffee cup works just fine. attach the handle to the cage bars with some wire to keep it from getting tipped over or moved around.
