Do Chinchillas sneeze?

Tails normally squeaks in her sleep every now andthen which i know is normal
But today after she woke up she has been squeaking every 5/10 mins, she us just
Sat in her cage so she's not angry or excited. It sounds like a sneeze almost.
Could she just be sneezing as she started after her dust bath.
Just haven't noticed her doing it before.

Chins do sneeze, mine sneeze and wipe noses after dust baths.

But for reference excessive sneezing nose wipes, auidable wheezing when breathing are signs of uri. So just be aware of that.
If it was after a bath and she's not doing it any more I'd say it was just from the dust.

Yeah she's stopped doing it now.

There was some dust on the floor and she kept leaning down to see what it was i
Think and basically just got it up her nose lol

I'll keep an eye out for those but she seems ok now. No sneezes for hours . Just best to check to be safe.

Ok so now we have a little problem.she is still sneezing and is making a noise similar to a cough.
I have spoken to the breeder i got her from and he has said to monitor her
As i didn't hear the cough.
I am fine with taking her to the vet although we don't have a carrier.
She doesn't like being picked up so i am worried a trip to the vet will distress hrr.
I have started with a cold today too so i am wondering if the 2 are connectef

can you borrow a carrier to take her to the vet? If you can just be sure to clean it before you put her in it..

If she is sneezing AND coughing, she needs to see a vet today. Chinchillas can go downhill very fast.

how is she doing today... best to get her to a vet soon, even if she's sounding better. you want to find a vet that gets to see her before she's sick if possible. For example my exotics vet closes at 6pm, but takes animals they've seen before up until midnight in emergancies
