My husband has "please ask for photo ID" written with a sharpie pen on the back of his debit card. Not every place asks for his ID, but many do. We always thank them.

I don't think by law that retailers are allowed to ask for a photo ID with a credit card purchase.

That's a great idea! I purposely NEVER sign the back of my cards, but I didn't think to write "ask for ID" on the back. They really need to check more often.

Ugh, sorry to hear about this!! Discover is great about calling their members when they see "fishy" charges.
