I was wondering if it would be safe if I just tiled the entire flooring of their cage. Seems it would be really easy to clean, just wanting to make sure if its safe. Let me know, thanks.
Yes, it is becoming more popular to tile the bottoms of chin cages. My only suggestion is to try to potty train your chin so they don't pee on the tiles and leave a puddle of urine to run around in.
Granite needs sealed, but tile in general is SO much easier to clean up. And it's nice to buy a $12 bale of aspen chips once a year b/c the litter box only uses about 4-6 handsfull for a week.
Ceramic works just as well. I would still seal it. I found that mine started peeing outside his litter pan once I switched to tile. He would pee and it would run between the tiles and into the clay... So I switched back to fleece. Overall I liked the upkeep, but I never sealed them so I had to take them out.
