I have 3 birds ( and a few other animals too in addition to my hedgie 'Tater) I give my birds a cooked food once a day in the AM and they love it - I then remove their bowls and clean them - ready for the next meal. Is there something like this for hedgies - I was thinking of giving her a little bite of some of it? obviously only if it is safe and nothing with any seeds etc so nothing gets caught in her little mouth.

Here are a few of the things I give the birds - (we switch it up) I am not saying these exact things - but these are what I get my birdies -

'Tater is pretty brave about trying new things - once she snagged a small bite of a peanut butter chip from my chocolate cookie! (I flipped until I saw she hardly got any - and then worried for a day or 2 longer! who knew she would try it!)

They dont even make a commercial staple food safe enough for hedgies to eat so I would have to say no. There isnt a ready to cook food that is sold.

Some foods you can cook is some lean ground beef or chicken. Maybe some vegies on the safe list.. but I think thats about it..

Just remember.. when you cook any type of food you are taking the nutrients out of it so its not something to rely on as a staple.
