CN/FN conversion, new to old

Someone else posted about adding on to a CN/FN from the old style to the new. It is possible, but you have to have the right equipment. I didn't think to get pics but we did this just the other day on an old style FN, I added a 1/2 section of a new style CN to the top for a 3 tier. To do so you must remove the top bolts, and drill a large bore hole through the side panel to allow for the "peg" of the new style to fit in. You have to be sure to drill out the part of the built in nut on the outside. Do this all the way around and voila! You're ready to add on! Do not reinsert the bolts, the top section will hold this older section together.

Like I said not for everyone, but it can be done.

i was actually wondering the same thing for if i was to ever get a new one level to make myn 3. doesn't sound too hard and worth it =) thanks for the info on this
