Chewing twigs

Hi everyone! A friend of mine has cut her peartree in the garden and she left twigs for my chins, but she has put the twigs in a vase ( probably with water). Can I give them to my chins when they will be dried or better not?

I was told if the fruit has a pit "NO".

Pear wood is fine. A lot of chins really enjoy it. Yes I would boil it, bake it just to make sure.

It might be ok so long as the twigs haven't started molding from being in water, just bake them to make them fully dry and bug and bacteria free. However you also want to make sure that you friend's tree is completely organic and has NEVER been sprayed with any chemicals ever. Chemicals (pesticides and such) are absorbed into and stored in the wood, so will make your chins sick or possibly die.

350°F for 30 to 45 minutes should do it. You just have to bake them and dry them out.
