I'm adopting a baby chinchilla (kit) next week and I already have a cage that I bought off of craigslist (I know, not the best idea:facepalm:). I'm concerned that the cage is too small. The cage 24"Lx24"Wx24"H. Everything is safe (wood, shelves, chin proofed, ect.) I'm just concerned about the size. Is it too small or will it be fine for only 1? Thank you:)

2x2x2 feet is considered the smallest size cage for a single chin to be comfortable in, but i personally would go larger. you could use this cage until you've saved up for a bigger one. my two boys share a cage that is 2x3x4 feet tall, for comparison.

I agree with the advice given. Perfectly fine for a single chin (especially a kit) and you could always save up for a larger cage later on if you decided to upgrade. Furthermore, if your chins is getting out time daily that cage is DEFINITELY suitable.
