Sorry I have not updated at all in a while. I just got a new job, and that has kept me extreemly busy the last month.
If you don't remember what was going on, here is the original thread. http://chins-n-hedgies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11936
We got a second opinion about the X-rays. The vet saw nothing suspicious about them, they did not think his teeth looked bad, but they did say that they could not be 100% sure without better x-rays. I guess they are not very clear x-rays. All I know is that I can't read them.
We had him on the SMZ-TMP-Suspension for a few weeks, as well as CC and lifeline. He seems to be doing much better. Before he had some green stuff coming out of his nose, that has cleared up, his drooling has stopped. Every night he devours his pellets, and he has even started to pick at his hay a little bit. (both cubed and free). He is also definately feeling much better, he comes to the cage bars again to say hi and get skritches.
So, right now we are cautiously optimistic. If he starts drooling and getting worse again we will have to deal with that when it comes, but for now he seems to be doing better. We have some metacam that the vet gave us as well, but we havn't used that because he seems to be feeling better.
